West Ham United are in desperate need of reinforcements up front.
With Niclas Füllkrug on the verge of joining AC Milan after a difficult spell, and Callum Wilson unable to offer a long-term solution due to age and injuries, the Hammers have very few attacking options.
If Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are to avoid relegation, adding a striker in January is essential.
However, the man they have in mind comes with a caveat.
Rafiu Durosinmi Requires “Extensive Medical”

According to Claret & Hugh, West Ham’s reported target Rafiu Durosinmi would need to pass an “extensive medical” at the London Stadium before the club commit to the £12 million fee reportedly set by Viktoria Plzen.
The 22-year-old Nigerian, standing at 6ft 4in, has drawn comparisons to former West Ham striker Demba Ba due to his physical presence and scoring instincts.
However, his injury history is notable: Durosinmi suffered a double ACL rupture in late 2023, keeping him sidelined for 437 days and causing him to miss 66 matches. This injury also scuppered a €6.5 million move to Eintracht Frankfurt.
After undergoing surgeries in January and March 2024, he returned to action in February 2025 and has since regained form, already netting 13 goals this season — more than West Ham’s entire attacking unit combined.
His resurgence has caught the eye of multiple clubs, including EFL sides Hull City, Huddersfield Town, and Derby County, as well as VfB Stuttgart.
Former Viktoria Plzen manager Miroslav Koubek described him as a “high level” striker, highlighting his quality and potential. If West Ham can navigate the medical concerns, Durosinmi could offer the firepower the team desperately needs to turn around a struggling campaign.
