West Ham are continuing their attempts to land highly-rated talents from Europe as another name has been thrown into the mix.
The Hammers are tipped to complete the capture of young striker Xande Silva from Vitoria and are also looking to complete a deal for Benfica’s Joao Felix.
According to The Mail, West Ham have held discussions with Benfica regarding a potential deal for 18-year-old Felix – as the Hammers look to increase their quota of Portuguese talents.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are also vying to retain the services of Portugal U20 starlet Domingos Quina, who has attracted attention from Barcelona as he enters the final 12 months of his deal, and could see their U23 side boast a strong Portuguese core next season.
Highly-rated attacking midfielder Felix could be considered the ideal long-term replacement for Manuel Lanzini, who has courted the attention of Liverpool in recent years but will start the new season on the sidelines due to injury.
