The 21-year-old left-back quickly became a key player for the Hammers, but now voices from Senegal are encouraging him to consider his next move.

Since his £19 million arrival, Diouf has impressed in East London, combining defensive solidity with attacking flair.

Yet several Premier League clubs are reportedly monitoring his progress, and interest is expected to increase if the Hammers fail to avoid relegation.

Former Senegal international Yatma Diop has now advised Diouf that moving on could be the best way to continue his development.

Yatma Diop: Diouf Should Leave Hammers

Speaking to Africa Foot, Diop highlighted the importance of Diouf challenging himself at the highest level.

“He’s very strong and on a great run of form. If there’s interest from other Premier League clubs who also play in European competitions, why not?

“He also needs to take the next step in his career, especially since he’s an African Cup of Nations champion and will be participating in the next World Cup in a few months with Senegal, if all goes well.

“But everything will depend on West Ham, where he’s still under contract.”

Diop’s comments underline that while Diouf has thrived at the London Stadium, his next career move could define his trajectory on both the international and club stage.
