According to The Sun, Luis Muriel is on West Ham United’s summer wishlist.

Sampdoria striker Luis Muriel has a buyout clause of £24m which West Ham are thought to be considering.

It is no secret that West Ham are desperately trying to sign a goal scoring striker this summer to solve their woes up front.

Andy Carroll is the main striker at the London Stadium but his injury record is worrying.

Diafra Sakho is also injury prone and Enner Valencia seems set for the exit after failing to impress.

Ashley Fletcher and Toni Martinez are on the brink of the first team but are unlikely to be the prolific striker West Ham need for a quick fix.

Their search for a new forward seems to have turned to Sampdoria’s Luis Muriel.

The Colombian international hit 11 goals in Serie A last season and is also attracting attention from other clubs.

Leicester City are set to rival the Hammers for Muriel, as well as Roma, Inter Milan and Liverpool.

The 26-year-old is keen to leave Sampdoria and West Ham are reportedly willing to match his release clause.

Muriel previously played for Udinese and had loan spells with Granada and Lecce.

However, recent reports have suggested that Sevilla might be in pole position to sign Muriel in an £18m deal.
