West Ham continue talks over 19-goal hitman, player wants move

West Ham have continued discussions over a potential move for Racing Club striker Gustavo Bou this summer, according to MailOnline.

The club have reportedly sent representatives over to South America this week and MailOnline claim Bou himself is interested in a move to east London.

Bou has netted 19 goals for Racing Club this term and has caught Bilic’s eye since arriving at the Argentine outfit in August 2014 – registering a goal every other game with a total of 35 goals from 63 outings.

Racing Club are supposedly valuing the striker at £9million, which immediately appears to be a fairly acceptable price for a player with such an impressive goal record, even if he’s yet to prove his worth in Europe.

MailOnline claim Bilic wants to sign at least two strikers this summer, with an extensive list of summer targets including the likes of Michy Batshuayi, Wilfried Bony, Christian Benteke, Jordan Ayew and Callum Wilson.

But what would Bou bring to the side if were to bring him to the Premier League?

WhoScored.com appear to be very impressed with him, and they only really have his awareness to remain onside as his biggest weakness.

However, his strengths include Key Passes, Dribbling, Passing, Through Balls, Finishing and Holding on to the Ball. All traits you look for in a striker.

But is he worth the £9m price tag Racing Club are reportedly asking for him? You’d have to expect to pay that sort of money for a decent striker in today’s market, though Transfermarkt.com value him at just £3.75m.
