The 2017/18 season is not even over yet but West Ham have already been linked with many strikers.

It is no secret that the transfer priority in the summer will be forwards.

Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho are constantly injured, Jonathan Calleri has scored one deflected goal all season, Ashley Fletcher is still young and raw and Simone Zaza was sent back in January after flopping at West Ham.

To solve the striker crisis at West Ham, the club are considering a move for Napoli striker Leonardo Pavoletti, according to Tutto Mercato Web.

West Ham and Marseille are both interested in signing the 28-year-old this summer.

The 6’2” striker joined Napoli in January after an impressive tally of 23 goals in 44 games but has only managed 3 matches for the Serie A giants.

The twice-capped Italian international could move on this summer to reignite his stalling career and West Ham are one of two clubs interested in Pavoletti, according to this report.

Pavoletti is one of a number of targets being assessed by West Ham at the moment ahead of an expected busy summer transfer window.
