West Ham are hoping to complete a deal for Paris Saint-Germain striker Jean Christophe Bahebeck, according to Metro.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is in urgent need of a striker after Enner Valencia was ruled out for up to six months with knee and ankle injuries earlier this week.

And despite rumours of a move for QPR’s Charlie Austin and Atletico Madrid’s Raul Jimenez, Metro claim the Irons are close to agreeing a loan move for the 22-year-old.

The striker has made 34 first team appearances for the Ligue 1 giants but has struggled to force his way into a regular starting spot with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani obviously ahead of him in the pecking order.

Bahebeck scored two and provided three assists in 15 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG.

The French youngster is quick and powerful and would certainly offer a different dimension to Bilic’s attacking line, and would also prove to be a solid partner for Diafra Sakho up front.
