West Ham United travel to Turf Moor this weekend to take on Burnley in the final game of the Premier League season.

Not much is riding on this match for either side and it may be the chance for both managers to have a look at some members of their wider squad.

This is exactly what Slaven Bilic could do with his defensive options, he has revealed in his press conference.

Slaven Bilic told his press conference that young defender Declan Rice could be handed his senior debut for the Hammers on Sunday, reports the official website.

Rice has been an exceptional performer in the West Ham under-23 squad and his displays have earned him a place on the bench in recent weeks.

With Winston Reid undergoing surgery on an injury, Rice could be thrust into action with Angelo Ogbonna still on the road to recovery.

The Republic of Ireland under-21 international is considered to be ready for first team action and this is a big chance for the young centre half, who was crowned with the Dylan Tombides young player award after leading West Ham under-23 to promotion.

It’ll be a tough test for the 18-year-old as he would have to contend with Ashley Barnes, Sam Vokes and Andre Gray if he does get played but Bilic clearly thinks highly of the teenage starlet.
