West Ham’s dreadful start to the 2025/26 season has already sparked calls from fans for Graham Potter’s dismissal.
The Hammers opened the campaign with a 3-0 defeat away to Sunderland before being humiliated 5-1 at home to Chelsea. Hopes of an EFL Cup run quickly collapsed as Wolves dumped them out in the second round with a 3-2 victory.
A convincing 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest briefly offered signs of a turnaround, but those hopes were quickly dashed by a flat 3-0 defeat to Tottenham, in which former Hammer Mohamed Kudus got on the scoresheet.
With Potter under mounting scrutiny, reports have already linked West Ham with possible replacements — including Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espírito Santo.
But it appears the board are not yet ready to make a change.
West Ham Board Make Potter Sack Decision

According to Football Insider, West Ham will keep faith with Graham Potter for now, despite his poor start and growing unrest in the stands.
The 50-year-old manager has come under fire not only for results, but also for the manner of the defeats, which have left the Hammers sitting in the relegation zone after four games.
However, senior club sources insist Potter still has the backing of the board. David Sullivan and Karren Brady are understood to be reluctant to make any mid-season managerial changes unless absolutely necessary, preferring to give the former Chelsea and Brighton boss more time to steady the ship.
For West Ham fans, that means Potter remains in charge — at least for the next few weeks.
But unless results improve quickly, the board’s patience may wear thin, and the search for a new manager could intensify.
