West Ham United want to sign Theo Walcott from Arsenal, according to The Daily Express.

West Ham are one of four Premier League clubs chasing the Arsenal fringe player, who could be offloaded on loan in the January transfer window.

The Hammers have joined the race to land Walcott’s temporary services but face competition from a trio of other Premier League sides.

Southampton want to bring their academy product back to the club after he left them to join Arsenal back in 2006.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United are desperate to add goals to their attack and have targeted the 28-year-old.

Everton are also interested in the 47 cap England international after summer signing Sandro Ramirez has failed to deliver.

Walcott is able to play as a centre forward or as a winger and this versatility could make him a vital options for West Ham – especially if they offload Diafra Sakho and Andre Ayew.

In his career, Walcott has played 269 Premier League games, scoring 65 goals and adding 43 assists too.

But this season, he has started just five games for the Gunners with a further five cameos from the bench.

With first team chances looking limited at The Emirates, Walcott is ready to move away to reignite his stalling career.
