Brentford star Jota is a wanted man this summer after his impressive performances for the West London outfit last season.
According to The Mirror, Premier League duo West Ham United and Newcastle United are interested in signing the skillful winger.
After spending the first half of the season in Spain with Eibar, Jota returned to Brentford in January and immediately lit up the Championship.
Contributing twelve goals and a handful of assists, the 26-year-old formed part of a dynamic front three with Sergi Canos and Lasse Vibe.
This attracted the attention of a number of top flight clubs, who were alerted to the fact that he was available on a free transfer at the end of last season.
However, the Bees triggered a one year clause in Jota’s contract, keeping their star man at the club for the time being.
That has not put off Newcastle and West Ham, though, who are set to battle for his services by paying a fee to Brentford.
The Spaniard is a left-footed winger who has a direct approach.
He predominantly operates on the right wing and cuts inside, as well as interchanging with the other two players in the front three.
West Ham could swoop for Jota if Sofiane Feghouli and Robert Snodgrass leave.
