According to a report in the Mirror, West Ham United are keeping their tabs on Jack Wilshere with his future at Arsenal looking uncertain.

Jack Wilshere spent the entire season on loan at Bournemouth as he slipped down the pecking order at Arsenal.

As he enters the final year of his contract, Arsenal are looking increasingly unlikely to refrain from offering him a new deal.

During his loan spell, the injury prone 24-year-old suffered yet another long term injury.

Wilshere suffered a broken leg and he has been rehabilitating in Dubai.

With Mohamed Elneny, Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey and Francis Coquelin ahead of Wilshere in Wenger’s pecking order, the central midfielder might seek a permanent exit.

According to this report, West Ham United and Manchester City are monitoring his contract situation and his recovery from injury ahead of making a possible move.

Any move for the England international would be a significant risk given his injury record but if West Ham could keep him fit then they would have a top class midfielder on their books.

With Mark Noble, Pedro Obiang, Cheikhou Kouyate, Havard Nordtveit, Josh Cullen and Edimilson Fernandes in the middle of the park, a move for Wilshere would be strange.
