With Graham Potter preparing for his first full season in charge, it’s clear where the squad needs the most love — up front.

After the gut-punch of losing Mohammed Kudus to Spurs, the Hammers are left short of attacking spark. Kudus was one of the few in claret and blue capable of magic — a player who could flip a game on its head in an instant. Now, he’s gone. And we’re left searching for answers.

The striker situation? Grim.

Evan Ferguson disappeared back to Brighton, and then onto AS Roma, after a loan spell that barely registered. Michail Antonio, a club legend, is feeling the miles — both on the pitch and off it, following his unfortunate car accident.

Niclas Füllkrug? He came, he saw… he hasn’t done much else.

At the moment, it’s Jarrod Bowen flying solo in the attack. And while he’s done brilliantly, he can’t carry the frontline on his own forever.

If West Ham have serious plans to push up the table under Potter, attacking reinforcements aren’t just needed — they’re overdue. And it sounds like one could now be on the way.

West Ham Agree Terms with Wilson

According to a fresh report from TBR Football, West Ham have reached an agreement in principle with Callum Wilson.

It was reported earlier this week that the Hammers were interested in the Newcastle United veteran — and now, talks have progressed. Wilson appears to be edging closer to a move to east London.

TBR Football adds that the salary structure is already in place, with Wilson expected to earn a “minimal wage,” but with “large appearance money” included in the deal.

“Callum Wilson has been in talks with a number of clubs this summer and obviously Newcastle considered keeping him,” TBR Football’s Graeme Bailey said. “However, he wants to play and I am told he thinks he can do that at West Ham.”

“West Ham are taking a chance, they know that – but on his day, they still feel they are getting a top-class international calibre striker,” he added.

Wilson, described as “incredible” by Eddie Howe, featured 18 times for the Magpies in the Premier League last season, but didn’t find the net — with Alexander Isak’s 27-goal campaign pushing him firmly to the sidelines.

That said, Wilson’s overall Premier League record speaks for itself: 88 goals in 239 appearances. He knows where the goal is — and if there’s one team he especially loves scoring against, it’s us.

No, seriously: Callum Wilson has scored 12 goals in 16 matches against West Ham — more than against any other side.

About time he gave us a break and started banging them in for us, anyway…
