Sonny Perkins is becoming a bit of a name at West Ham at the moment.

After making his professional debut in the Hammers’ Europa League victory over Rapid Wien in November, the 17-year-old has since featured twice more for the first-team, including a Premier League debut off the bench earlier this month.

Despite his young age and inexperience, Perkins appears to be staking a serious claim for more regular game time, having netted six goals in 12 PL2 outings so far this term.

The latest was one of his most impressive, too. It came in West Ham U23’s 3-2 defeat to Leicester City on Monday, via a strong right-footed finish from about 20 yards out.

The youngster posted the superb strike on his Instagram page to show off his undoubted ability to those who may not know what he can produce.

You can see his goal below and, hopefully, we’ll be seeing a repeat for the first-team in the not-too-distant future…
