It’s been a good decade, possibly longer, since we’ve been truly excited about one of our young players and their future in a West Ham shirt.
Ravel Morrison may not have come through our famous academy, but the way in which he has turned into a future England star after practically being kicked out of Manchester United for bad attitude and behaviour, which was threatening his development, is a credit to West Ham and their efforts to get the best out of him.
So it’s little wonder that his superb solo goal against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane, and his brace for England’s U21s last night against Lithuania, has got West Ham fans both excited for what he’s going to do next and worried that it’s only a matter of time before a big club comes in and takes him away from Upton Park.
And fans took to Twitter last night to both reveal their love for Ravel and convey their fears of how long he’s going to be at West Ham now that he’s setting the world alight.
Here’s some of the best tweets:
Enjoy Ravel while he is here, he will be off to a bigger club in the next year or so i reckon.

What do you think? Can West Ham hold on for him for long? Should he be on the plane to next summer’s World Cup in Brazil? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
