West Ham United have sent Martin Samuelsen out on loan to Burton Albion for the rest of the season, the club’s official website confirmed yesterday.
The skillful attacking midfielder will continue the next stages of his development out on loan in the Championship as he aims to keep Burton Albion up this season.
The 20-year-old has only ever made two senior appearances for West Ham, both of which came in the Europa League and this will be his fourth loan stint away from East London.
The thrice capped Norway international spent two stints with Peterborough United on loan and has also featured for Blackburn Rovers previously.
West Ham fans took to Twitter to react to this news with some finding it perplexing that he is being loaned out again rather than given game time.
Here are the best responses after West Ham officially announced Samuelsen’s loan departure to Burton Albion.

Struggling at the wrong half of the championship, this doesn’t seem like a good move!

Far too good for Burton. Surprised Dai Moyes didn't have a look a him in either cup-tie with Shrewsbury. In hindsight would have been a much better bet than either the hopeless duo of Ayew + Chico. Seems undervalued at W Ham which to me is a great shame.

surprised by loan. But full of natural talent great on ball & a playmaker show Burton should start & make some noise
