It’s hard to remember the last player to have had such an instant, meteoric impact at West Ham than Dimitri Payet.

Some will claim the likes of Carlos Tevez and Paolo Di Canio are up there, but both didn’t excite as instantly as our new French hero.

Put simply, he’s the best player to have worn the famous claret and blue since… probably Tevez, actually.

Which is why every West Ham fan will love Art of Football’s latest t-shirt design.

I’ve never really been the kind of fan who smothers himself in club colours for every home game. I may wear the odd scarf during the winter, and perhaps don one of our beautiful retro shirts from the 70s or 80s when the weather is a tad warmer, but I’ve never really found something I can wear on a matchday without feeling as if I’m some kind of over-the-top claret and blue crazed super fan. There’s nothing wrong with those who prefer to be that guy, but it’s just not me – and I know I’m not the only one.

Which is why Art of Football‘s shirts are so appealing.

Dimitri Payet’s first goal against Newcastle in September will go down as one the highlights of this season, and his subsequent celebration is already an iconic image of Payet’s impact for the club so far.

Art of Football have taken that image of Payet sliding on his knees towards the Boleyn Ground’s ‘chav corner’ following that goal and turned it into a unique, classy, arty and stunning image for us all to wear with pride.

As soon as I saw this, I knew I had to have it. At £22 it’s a snip, but you’re not just paying £22 for a t-shirt here.

You’re also paying for a bit of class, and something you can wear anywhere, at any time – not just on match days.

The t-shirt arrives perfectly packaged in it’s own unique box, and then wrapped in high quality wrapping paper. The attention to detail Art of Football put in to the presentation of their products is just as classy as their t-shirt designs, and almost worth the cost of the t-shirt itself.

The quality of the t-shirt can only be described as ‘high quality’ and the sizes appear to fit well – I’m a medium and it fits perfectly, unlike last season’s adidas home shirt, where a large was more like a medium!

As I proudly wore my t-shirt to the home game against Stoke last weekend, one fan’s comments on it in the pub perfectly summed up why this is one t-shirt you really need to own…

“You can never have enough Payet in your life.”

And he’s right. You can’t.

Visit art-of-football.com to learn more about their Payet design t-shirt and their other products – they even do an incredible Di Canio volley one!

Available in five different colours, this might just be the only West Ham shirt you’ll want from Santa this year.

And you can also get their designs as prints, so you can have Dimitri Payet hanging above your fireplace. I mean, what more could you want this Christmas?

Want one? You can buy it HERE!

Thanks to Art of Football, we’re giving away ONE Payet t-shirt to one lucky fan this week. Details on how to win are below…
