Andy Carroll‘s foul on Liverpool‘s Simon Mignolet that led to the equaliser on Sunday has been one of the biggest talking points of the Premier League over the last 48 hours.

But the big man has come out and insisted that these things even themselves out, pointing to the red card he was wrongfully given against Swansea earlier this season.

Carroll’s ‘punch’ on Mignolet led to Guy Demel tapping home to cancel out Steven Gerrard’s penalty just sixty seconds earlier and could’ve had a huge impact on the title race and might well have prevented Brendan Rodgers’ side from lifting their first ever Premier League trophy.

But Gerrard’s second penalty of the afternoon secured all three points for Liverpool, despite there also being controversy surrounding Taylor’s decision to award the reds their second spot kick of the afternoon.
