Last week’s loss to Leicester all but confirmed that we really don’t have anything to play for.
You’d like to think the players are still desperate to get themselves a top eight finish but, despite all their claims this week, it’s difficult to believe that they’re up for the fight.
Luckily we’ve got Enner Valencia back and available for selection, which should add some much needed attacking threat to a side that has been woeful in front of goal of late.
If we really do want that top eight finish then beating Stoke really is vital. Lose this and we slip to tenth and give put ourselves in danger if slipping in to the bottom half of the table.
If that happens then it would be a disgrace.
