West Ham United are set to return with a second bid for Marko Arnautovic after seeing their initial offer turned down, according to The Telegraph.

Stoke City rejected West Ham’s £15m bid for Marko Arnautovic but are bracing themselves for a higher offer, expected to be in the region of £20m.

The Hammers are keen to bolster their attacking options and Marko Arnautovic has now emerged as a top target.

Following news of West Ham’s interest, the 28-year-old handed in a transfer request at Stoke City to push through this move.

This has given West Ham hope that they can complete this deal, although Marko Arnautovic still has three years left to run on his contract having agreed to a new deal last summer.

Stoke City still want to keep the Austrian international but admitted that they would sell him if the terms are right.

West Ham are now set to haggle on his price as they look to bring in a player to compete with the likes of Manuel Lanzini, Michail Antonio and Andre Ayew in the attacking midfield regions.

The Hammers are now lining up a £20m offer for Marko Arnautovic as the East London club continue to test Stoke City’s resolve.
