West Ham United have joined the race to sign Oguzhan Ozyakup, according to sources close to Turkish Football.

A report by Turkish Football is claiming that West Ham United will rival Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur as they attempt to snap up Oguzhan Ozyakup.

West Ham are hoping to prise the Turkish international star away by offering him the chance to reunite with Slaven Bilic.

Slaven Bilic was his manager at Besiktas and he could seek a move to team up with Ozyakup again.

However, West Ham’s last signing from Besiktas – Gokhan Tore – proved to be a flop and there will be some doubts from supporters.

However, Ozyakup is considered to be one of the best talents in Turkey and he is wanted by the elite clubs in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old operates as a central midfielder and he has been praised for his superb technical ability, passing range and attacking threat from the middle of the park.

Oguzhan Ozyakup is thought to be available to buy if any club pays £13m for his services.

With the likes of Cheikhou Kouyate, Pedro Obiang, Mark Noble, Havard Nordtveit, Edimilson Fernandes and Josh Cullen in central midfield, it remains to be seen whether West Ham will prioritise this signing.
