West Ham United duo Reece Burke and Josh Cullen are heading to Bolton Wanderers on loan, our official website has confirmed.
Bolton Wanderers have completed the double signing of this promising young pair on a five month loan deal until January.
Reece Burke, a towering centre back, and Josh Cullen, a composed and tidy central midfielder, will get a season in the Championship to show their worth before being given the opportunity to break into the senior set-up at West Ham.
Both played for the Hammers in the pre-season tour to Austria and Germany.
There was a mixed reaction to this news.
The majority of fans responding seemed to be annoyed or upset with this news, believing that these two should have had more first team opportunities next year.
Others argued that playing regular Championship football would be more beneficial for their development.
Here are some of the best responses after West Ham officially announced the news of Josh Cullen and Reece Burke’s loan departures.

Good news. Both need game time and a full season out on loan. No point being fourth/fifth choice, rotting in u23 and never playing a game

So effectively we need to bring at least one new midfielder in now.

Disappointing for them both not to have been given a chance this season.
Must b signing a CM…And then we have 2 defenders almost 34!
