The way any player wearing claret and blue carries themselves is very important to West Ham fans.

The recent behaviour of Marko Arnautović, which led to his departure highlights that, but at the opposite end of the spectrum is Declan Rice.

Considering he is still just 20-years-old, Rice has acted with great professionalism throughout his short career, whether that is in regards to how he has dealt with setbacks on the pitch, or the media coverage around his switch of international allegiances.

However, small traits within his overall attitude can be seen in the way he does little things:

There are many fans who enjoyed seeing how polite Rice was to everyone in the above video, making an effort to thank everybody.

That type of behaviour is always good to see, but what will be most important for Hammers fans is that he is still a West Ham player.

Now, having had his time off after playing in England’s UEFA Nations League finals campaign, Rice is joining up with the rest of the squad in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland for pre season training.

Having impressed during his 34 Premier League appearances last campaign, he will now be an even more integral part of the Hammers’ side this time around.
