SIX ‘bargain buys’ to consider for West Ham on FM15

Anyone who plays Football Manager will know that managing West Ham can be a stressful task.

Over the years us Hammers fans have had to put up with a starting transfer budget of zero and players that are down right average on the game compared to real life. But this season’s version of the game offers us a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

You start off with around £3million to spend if you set a realistic target of achieving a mid-table finish in your first season, but you can push that to around £4million if you tell the board you can finish in the top six, which is risky business.

So although £3million isn’t a lot of money in Football Manager terms, there are still a number of top bargains to be had to ensure you get off to the best possible start to your virtual managerial career at the Boleyn Ground.

So here’s SIX ‘bargain buys’ you should definitely consider signing for the Hammers on Football Manager 15…

Ante Coric – Dinamo Zagreb

Some say Ante Coric has the potential to be the next Luka Modric, which makes signing him an attractive proposition for most FM players.

The attacking midfielder’s contract expires at the end of the season so you could try and get him on a free after your first season. But if you can’t wait that long, he can be got for around £800k, which is an absolute steal. He’s technically gifted and would fit nicely in to a West Ham side already boasting a strong attacking front line.

Milos Krasic – Fenerbahce

The 29-year-old former Juventus and Serbian international is up for sale for just £100k at the start of the game, but Fenerbahce will allow him to leave for nothing at the end of the transfer window if you want to take the risk and hope no one else snaps him up for that bargain price before hand.

The trouble is, his wage demands are a bit excessive, which means you may need to free up some wage budget by selling a few players if you really want to bring the attacking midfielder to East London.

Haschim Mastour – AC Milan

The 16-year-old AC Milan attacking midfielder has the potential to become a world class player with the right guidance, but it’s a bit of a job trying to persuade him to leave Milan for the glamour of East London.

If you can successfully convince him to sign then you’ll have one of the best players on the game in years to come, so it’s worth giving it a go at the very least.

Kristoffer Ajer – Start 2

For a 16-year-old, Kristoffer Ajer’s stats are pretty ridiculous. But he costs absolutely nothing if you can get him and he has the potential to become one of the best central midfielders on the game with the right development.

Itumeleng Khune – Kaizer Chiefs

The 27-year-old South African keeper is available for around £1million at the start of the game and is a much better option to our beloved Adrian, who just isn’t as good as we all hoped he would be on the game.

Obviously Jussi Jaaskelainen is getting on a bit so it’s worth shipping the big Finn out and bringing in Khune. You won’t regret it.

Pavel Savitsky – Neman Grodno

You can sign the 19-year-old winger for nothing in January but you can still get him at the beginning of the game for as little as £100k.

He’s a brilliant crosser of the ball and his dribbling skills, combined with his lightening pace, makes him the perfect type of player for West Ham.

Savitsky is another player who can turn in to a world class star with the right guidance.
