Tomas Soucek has praised West Ham’s character after they fought back from 2-1 down to secure a 91st-minute draw against Leicester City on Sunday.
Jarrod Bowen put the Hammers in front in the 10th minute but the Foxes fought back via Youri Tielemans penalty and Ricardo Pereira’s header. Craig Dawson’s late equaliser ensured David Moyes’ men left the King Power Stadium with a point.
And Soucek took to Instagram after the game to praise his teammates’ character to snatch a point so late on, but also revealed this disappointment at not being able to take all three back to east London.
He posted on Instagram: “We wanted to win but good point in the last minute. 2:2 away at King Power Stadium. We showed our great character again.

Soucek himself wasn’t particularly at the races during the game, which has been a worrying trend for the Czech Republic international all season, with his usual threat in the opposition box not as prominent as it was last term.
The midfielder scored 10 goals in 41 appearances last season but only has three goals in 32 outings in 2021/2022 so far.
