Lukasz Fabianski has sent a message to his Instagram followers after he suffered an injury on the first weekend of the new Premier League season.

The shot-stopper clashed with City forward Erling Haaland in the first-half and was forced off with a hip problem.

It is not yet known how long he will be sidelined for, or whether he will recover in time to face Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Hammers insider ExWHUemployee claimed on his podcast earlier this week that there is hope he will be fit to feature in West Ham’s next game.

But Fabianski posted on Instagram on Tuesday with a caption “see you soon” which could mean two things; either he’s recovered and fit for Sunday, or he’s expecting a period on the sidelines.

Either way, the presence of Alphonse Areola in the squad means any injury to Fabianski will not be too damaging to David Moyes’ plans. It’s been a while since we had two top class goalkeepers to choose from at West Ham.
