West Ham’s busy transfer window so far suggests that a focus may be placed on outgoing deals for the final weeks of the summer, as the Hammers look to balance their books.

Manuel Pellegrini has drafted in Jack Wilshere to bolster his ranks in midfield and continues to be linked with further additions in this area, suggesting that departures are likely.

As such, exits are likely and Gianluca Di Marzio states that Serie A side Sampdoria have expressed an interest in landing the services of Edimilson Fernandes.

The four-cap Switzerland international made just 14 Premier League appearances for the Hammers last term, again struggling with injury issues, and may be seen as surplus to requirements in the eyes of Pellegrini ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

Valued at just £4.5m by TransferMarkt, West Ham would be unlikely to earn a significant fee from any sale of the 22-year-old, although he is contracted with the Hammers until 2020.
