Let’s face it, we all want Ravel Morrison in claret and blue next season. He’s the best young player we’ve seen take the first-team by storm in many, many years and it’d be ridiculous if we were to allow him to leave so soon.

But his loan spell to QPR after a reported ‘disagreement’ with Sam Allardyce in January suggested we may have seen the last of him at Upton Park.

But after being announced as the winner of West Ham’s Goal of the Season Award at tonight’s Player Awards, Morrison took to Twitter to reveal his delight at winning.

But he also said that he’d be back next season to score more. Yep, he’s coming back. Some would say he’s just saying that but, if he was heading off or had been told by the club he had no future at Upton Park, he would not have said something in such confidence. Well, that’s what I believe anyway.

Here’s his tweet. Looking forward to welcoming him back now…
