Matt Jarvis and Stewart Downing seem to take it in turns for performing well every week, so we could really do with both of them turning up today in order to give Andy Carroll the service he needs in order to justify £20million transfer fee.

The midfield should be unchanged, but Allardyce may be tempted to replace Mohamed Diame with Antonio Nocerino, although the inability to drop Kevin Nolan suggests that’s highly unlikely.
