Having beaten Tottenham at White Hart Lane with a significantly weakened team on Wednesday night, it’s difficult to make a case for change for the visit to Manchester United.

But if we are to pull off a second successive upset in the space of four days, Sam Allardyce will be looking to strengthen in some areas ahead of the trip to Old Trafford.

Adrian‘s performance at White Hart Lane was a breath of fresh air, with his distribution adding to our counter attacking threat. He played a big part in Matt Jarvis’ equaliser, while he pulled off a couple of late saves to ensure victory. He’s showing all the signs of becoming a top quality goalkeeper and perhaps deserve a Premier League debut ahead of the highly predictable Jussi Jaaskelainen, despite the experienced Finn also putting in match winning performances this season.

Modibo Maiga‘s winner will have given him confidence to push on and continue finding the net and recent performances for the Hammers, as well as his goal, warrant a starting berth today.

Other than that, the team pretty much picks itself. Mohamed Diame and Ravel Morrison should expect to come back in to the starting XI, while James Tomkins returns from injury.

So here’s our proposed starting XI for the Premier League meeting with Manchester United this afternoon…
