With an injury riddled squad and a suspended captain, we already knew Sam Allardyce would have to play a number of youth players against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup before he even confirmed  that he would.

But we can still expect to see an element of experience in Allardyce’s starting XI at the City Ground, with the likes of Alou Diarra and George McCartney expected to feature.

With the Capital One Cup semi-final on Wednesday night to think of as well, Allardyce may decide to leave the likes of Jack Collison, Matty Taylor and Mohamed Diame on the bench to ensure they’re fresh for the trip to the Etihad Stadium.

Here’s how we think Allardyce might line up tomorrow…

He has already said that he will give the U21 players a chance to show him that they’re ready to make a step-up to the first-team, but it’s unlikely he will field a full XI of Development Squad players, which is why the Matt Jarvis, Stewart Downing and Ravel Morrison could all feature.

What do you think? How should Allardyce line-up against Forest tomorrow afternoon?
