West Ham have moved into poll position to sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham this summer, according to Football Insider.

With a striker being at the very top of David Moyes’ shopping list this transfer window, there have understandably been several reports linking the Hammers with strikers across Europe over the last couple of months.

Tammy Abraham has been heavily touted with a move to east London, despite David Moyes previously going public to admit the club probably couldn’t afford the £40m Chelsea were looking to get for his services.

Aston Villa had therefore been placed as the favourites for his signature, but Football Insider have claimed manager Dean Smith remains unconvinced by his finishing abilities.

Some West Ham fans, though, are unconvinced by this latest report, while others are hoping it’s a good sign Abraham will be in claret and blue next season.
