West Ham are reportedly interested in signing Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu this summer, but how much do you know about the 21-year-old?

According to football transfer expert, @FabrizioRomano, the Hammers are reportedly keeping tabs on the Turkish international with an interest to buy during this transfer window.

Kokcu follows a long list of players who the club are apparently interested in signing, but West Ham could face stiff competition from other teams for his signature.

The Hammers have already purchased one £30million signing this summer, after it was announced that Rennes centre-back Nayef Aguerd had arrived earlier this week.

Now, hopefully, Kokcu can be added to the list, and he offers lots of talent that could benefit David Moyes’ side.

The 21-year-old has bags of potential, and has shown that in the Dutch Eredivisie over the past couple of years.

The central midfielder offers both excellent passing and an attacking threat, scoring nine goals and producing nine assists in all competitions last season.

The young box-to-box midfielder also has European football experience, playing an integral role throughout Feyenoord’s run to the Europa Conference League final last season.

On top of this, after making his debut in 2020, he has already featured 16 times for the Turkish national team and has made over 120 appearances for his club.

The experienced youngster is talented in both going forward and in a holding, central midfield role, which makes him versatile and useful to manager David Moyes.

Having come through the youth ranks at Feyenoord, he shows good loyalty attributes and also offers a lot of passion on the pitch when playing, which is important in this current Hammers squad.

West Ham will need to recruit a midfielder this summer, following the retirement of Mark Noble and the departure of Alex Kral following his season-long loan.

If the Hammers do end up signing Kokcu during this transfer window, then Moyes could have another strong signing on his books but could face stiff competition from other clubs if he doesn’t act soon.
