Gary O’Neil has changed his mind over signing a new contract at the club, according to David Sullivan’s son Jack.

It was initially believed that the midfielder has agreed on a new deal after his contract expired at the end of June.

But Jack Sullivan tweeted this afternoon that the 30-year-old had in fact changed his mind and wouldn’t be staying at Upton Park:

The youngster’s tweet has angered several Hammers fan on twitter, with many of them labelling Jack’s words as an embarrassment, after he appeared to suggest the club would be a better team without O’Neil in the side.

It’s not the first time Sullivan Jnr. has angered fellow fans with his choice of words on Twitter, either.

He announced to the fans back in January that the club was going to sign Arsenal’s Marouane Chamakh on loan until the end of the season and that he was sorry about it, further sparking anger from fans looking for a bit more professionalism from a club ‘source.’
