Mark Noble believes he is good enough to earn an England call up for next summer’s World Cup in Brazil.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been in fine form for the Hammers so far this season, putting in a number of impressive performances, and has most notably excelled in Sam Allardyce’s new 4-6-0 formation used against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.

And Noble feels that his consistency in the Premier League over the years is worthy of a call up by Roy Hodgson.

He told whufc.com: “I believe I am good enough. I have seen the players we have had here who have been in the England set-up and I believe that if I made that step up, I would be able to mentally and physically cope with it.

“I have obviously played in the Premier League week-in, week-out, since I was about 19 and played at a good level. I’m not going to go around shouting that I should be in the squad and all that because I’m not that sort of person.

“If it happens, it happens, but I am just going to keep enjoying my football, getting on the ball, enjoying passing and creating stuff and if it happens, it happens.”

And co-chairman David Gold is also in the belief that Noble has done enough for international recognition and admits he would be disappointed if it doesn’t happen.

“There a three friendlies coming up [against Chile, Germany and Denmark] and I believe he will be in the manager’s mind,” Gold told SportsDirect News.

“For me he has the ability and application to be part of the England World Cup squad.

“Mark showed us all what he’s all about against Manchester City. It was a remarkably efficient performance in a difficult game.”
