So after we almost pulled out of the deal to bring Diafra Sakho to east London in the summer, the Senegelese striker looks like he could be signing a new contract already.
Early this afternoon we were treated to rumours about a potential meeting between Sakho and David Sullivan regarding an improved deal, no doubt to counteract the reported interest from a number of clubs who have taken an interest in him since taking the Premier League by storm.
And not long after that, the main man himself posted an image on Twitter of himself and the big boss man doing the Irons sign – at Sullivan’s house!
There’s no doubt Sakho deserves a bonus for his performances since signing for the club in the summer, and it’s nice to see the club doing all they can to ensure we are no longer a selling club, particularly when the future looks so bright ahead of the stadium move, as well as the team doing so well in the league.
Oh, and is it me or is Sakho fast becoming the fans’ new hero? Passion, enthusiasm, rapport with the fans, love for the club, goals…
Not had someone like that since Carlos Tevez.
