It felt like a big blow when Michail Antonio went off injured just eight minutes into West Ham’s Carabao Cup tie against Newport County.
However, he has dealt with the setback well, keeping a positive mindset and insisting from the off that he will be back.
He has given an update on his recovery situation, revealing that his leg brace is now off:

This has come as a big boost for Hammers fans judging by the replies to his tweet, with many seeming as though they have missed seeing him on the pitch.
While they have been sure to tell the winger to take his time and ensure he is fully fit before stepping back out at London Stadium, there is certainly excitement about seeing him in claret and blue.
While there is still a while for the 29-year-old to go, it is certainly encouraging to see that he has made his next step in getting back to action.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the update can be seen below:
Can’t come soon enough!

Take your time, do not rush. We need you back at 100%. Dont rush recovery and keep getting injured like 2 seasons ago.
Your keys to our team, dont fast track a return
