West Ham United fans have today been boosted with the best possible news.

Star man Michail Antonio has agreed a new contract with West Ham, committing his future to the East London club until summer 2021.

This was announced on the club’s official website on Thursday afternoon, just two days after he was named Hammer of the Year.

The new deal is testament to how successful Antonio’s spell at West Ham has been.

When he first arrived, he struggled to get any playing time but was finally handed his chance after numerous injuries plagued the squad.

Since then, the strong and powerful winger has not looked back.

The 27-year-old earned his first ever call up to the England national squad this season and has been an integral part of the West Ham team.

Antonio is currently out injured but he is looking forward to getting back out on the pitch.

The exciting free scoring attacker has been linked with a move away from West Ham persistently over the past few months, including links with a move to Chelsea.

However, the Hammers have swooped to secure the long term future of their prize asset by offering him new and improved terms.
