West Ham United take on Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium tonight with plenty riding on the game.
The Hammers are not completely safe from relegation yet but victory over rivals Tottenham would be a satisfying way to mathematically confirm their place in next season’s Premier League campaign.
Tottenham, on the other hand, are still in the race for the Premier League title.
If they can fend off the challenge of West Ham tonight, they can move to within a point of league leaders Chelsea and really start putting pressure on Antonio Conte’s men.
Ahead of the game, Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson provided his prediction.
It’s not good news for the Hammers fans: Merse believes Tottenham will thrash West Ham 3-0 in their first ever match at the London Stadium.
Merson believes that there would have to be a “major shift” in form for the Irons to get a result out of this tonight, adding that he cannot envisage anything except for a Spurs victory.
With Tottenham in great form, it will certainly be a challenge for West Ham tonight and Paul Merson thinks that Spurs will have too much for their hosts.
