FC Sion midfielder Edimilson Fernandes is set to have a medical ahead of a £5.2m move to West Ham, according to Guardian reporter Ed Aarons.
With all the focus on West Ham’s hunt for a striker in recent days, it appears Slaven Bilic has swooped in and secured himself another midfielder before next week’s transfer window deadline.
Aarons tweeted on Wednesday afternoon…

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has made 27 league appearances for Sion since 2013, scoring two goals.
Fernandes – the cousin of former Man City midfielder Gelson – has featured eight times for the Swiss outfit this season, and has netted twice in three Switzerland Cup starts.
The 6 ft 3 in midfielder is relatively unknown but, judging by the YouTube video below, looks to have a sweet left foot and has an imposing presence in midfield.
The Swiss youngster is yet to represent his national side at any level but certainly looks to be a promising star, and Bilic looks to have secured his man completely under the radar.
