West Ham United’s rebuild under Nuno Espírito Santo continues to gather pace — and now an unexpected push has arrived from inside the club’s hierarchy.

According to Africa Foot, Hammers sporting director Mark Noble has personally recommended teenage midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi to the board ahead of the January window.

The former captain, whose influence on recruitment has grown significantly over the past year, is said to be a strong admirer of the 19-year-old.

Nnadi, currently playing for Zulte Waregem, has been turning heads in Belgium with his composure, athleticism, and ball-carrying ability.

A Nigeria U20 international, he’s regarded as one of the most exciting young midfielders to emerge from the country in recent years.

Reports suggest he could be available for around £3.5 million — a fee well within West Ham’s reach and offering notable long-term upside. The Hammers are believed to be considering offering the player a five-year deal should they move forward.

For West Ham, midfield depth remains a concern.

Summer signings Mateus Fernandes and Soungoutou Magassa have impressed, and Lucas Paquetá continues to be the creative heartbeat, but the squad still feels light in numbers — especially with James Ward-Prowse expected to depart in January.

Adding a young, high-ceiling prospect like Nnadi could be a clever forward-thinking move, and if there’s one voice supporters still trust at the club, it’s Noble’s.
