Aaron Cresswell’s free-kick for West Ham against Manchester United on Sunday really was some strike.
He curled the ball wonderfully over the wall and past David de Gea into the top corner to make the score 2-0, despite the Spaniard getting a futile touch on it with his outstretched hand.
West Ham’s official Twitter account has tweeted out a video of the left-back’s goal and the following celebrations:

Many Hammers fans understandably enjoyed watching this back, due to the skill involved and the fact he had produced it after being left out in the cold.
This was just the second Premier League game the 29-year-old has played this season, having been dropped following the 5-0 opening day loss to Manchester City.
He will have likely got himself back into Manuel Pellegrini’s thinking with that strike and overall performance, which earned him a rating of 7.9 on WhoScored.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the goal can be seen below:
Different stadium, London Stadium, not Old Trafford. Different player, Cresswell, not Payet. Different foot, left, not right. Same outcome though, De Gea picking the ball out the net. #coyi
