Attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini is set to sign a five year deal with West Ham United, according to an exclusive report by The Sun.

West Ham want Lanzini to sign a new deal to fend off reported interest in his services and are ready to hand him a much-improved contract which will run until the summer of 2022.

The 24-year-old looks set to sign a new deal, which will nearly treble his current weekly wages.

At the moment, Manuel Lanzini brings in £30,000 per week but West Ham have offered him £85,000 per week.

He is expected to put pen to paper on these terms.

West Ham are desperate to keep the skillful attacking midfielder, who is comfortable playing anywhere in midfield, amid interest from Liverpool.

With Neymar leaving Barcelona to join PSG, the Catalan giants have identified Philippe Coutinho as an ideal attacking replacement.

However, the domino effect has filtered down to West Ham, who could face a battle to keep the Argentina international if Coutinho does join Barcelona.

Liverpool have identified Manuel Lanzini as a perfect like-for-like replacement for their Brazilian star.

However, the Hammers have been locked in negotiations with the former Al Jazira man for four months now and it looks like it could be coming to a conclusion.
