West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini has revealed he is missing playing for the Hammers amid the COVID-19 outbreak…but it did not spark the best reaction from the fanbase. 

The 27-year-old has struggled for form in the 2019/20 Premier League campaign, making 19 appearances, failing to score and registering three assists.

Lanzini did, however, suffer a cruciate ligament rupture prior to the 2018/19 season, which placed him on the sidelines for eight months; a physical and psychological blow for the Argentina playmaker, who, prior to sustaining that injury, was considered the club’s most valuable asset by most fans.

And on the club’s official Twitter page, they captioned the photo of Lanzini’s Instagram post with: “We miss you too, @manulanzini“.

However, the positive picture of the 27-year-old standing on his home balcony overlooking London Stadium has sparked a lot of negative reaction from West Ham fans on social media, while just a few comments were positive…
