West Ham are pushing ahead for further signings and are showing no signs of stopping, despite potentially taking their number of recruits to six this week.
The Hammers have already secured the services of Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski and Issa Diop, while deals for Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and Fabian Balbeuna are poised to go ahead.
Further signings are on the cards though and West Ham are reportedly interested in Malaga captain Recio, who could be eyeing an exit after the club’s relegation from LaLiga.
However, Spanish outlet La Opinion de Malaga, cited by InsideFutbol, claim Malaga are not aware of the Hammers’ interest in their experienced midfielder.
27-year-old Recio came through Malaga’s youth ranks and worked under Manuel Pellegrini during the Chilean’s time with the Spanish side.
The report adds Malaga are calm about the futures of their players as the club returns to pre-season training to prepare for their campaign in the second-tier of Spanish football next term.
