Regardless of your age and how long you’ve supported West Ham, there’ll be an equal feeling of sadness when we leave the Boleyn Ground this summer.
It is one of the Premier League’s last remaining football grounds that still boasts the authentic feeling of being close to the action, but soon it’ll be gone forever.
We’ve witnessed all the highs and lows any football fan can ever dream of experiencing at our home, and we’ve had the please of seeing some fantastic players pull on the famous claret and blue shirt over the years, too.
So as a tribute to the Boleyn Ground and the wonderful players who have been privileged enough to play on the sacred turf every other week, we’ve compiled a list of what we think is the top 50 players to have represented the Hammers in the Premier League era.
Of course, you’ll agree and disagree with many of them. But remember this a matter of opinion only, and not fact. It could never be fact, because while Julian Dicks is someone’s number one player, Scott Parker is someone else’s.
So have a flick through our top 50 and then let us know what you think via the comments section below. Between they have a combined total of 4,753 appearances and 537 goals.
I’ll be honest, on reflection there are probably a couple of changes I’d make if I were to do it again, but these are locked in now…
