So after last night’s disappointment against FC Astra and the seemingly season-ending injury to Enner Valencia, it’s even more evident that Slaven Bilic needs to sign a few more players.
A striker and a right-back should be a priority, and there’s been no shortage of players being linked with a switch to the Boleyn Ground this summer.
Reports today have us close to agreeing deals with one or two players, both of which are unexpected and a little out of the blue. But at least there’s business being done behind the scenes, and it shows the board and the manager are still doing all they can to strengthen the squad.
