Development Squad goalkeeper Jake Larkins suffered minor injuries in a car accident on Monday and is now at home recovering.

The 19-year-old was on his way to meet up with his team-mates ahead of their Barclays U21 Premier League tie at Southampton when he  was involved in a road collision on the A12.

Larkins received medical treatment at Queen’s Hospital in Romford and was released late Monday evening and is now recovering from minor head and neck injuries at home with his family.

The clash with Southampton will now be rearranged after being postponed.
