West Ham are just days away from completing a deal for Brentford striker Scott Hogan, according to talkSPORT reporter Ian Abrahams.

West Ham have been consistently linked with a move for the 24-year-old, who has netted 14 Championship goals for the Bees this season.

Reports in The Guardian on Tuesday claimed the Hammers’ £12.5m bid for the goal-getter had been rejected by Brentford as they continue to hold out for their £15m valuation.

The report claims the Hammers have also failed in £9m and £10m bids respectively.

However, Abrahams’ comments in the early hours of Thursday morning seem to suggest West Ham have finally been successful in their pursuit of Hogan and that confirmation of his arrival is just days away.

It’s not yet known how much he will eventually sign for but you have to assume West Ham have agreed to match the £15m Brentford were holding out for.

We wrote about why Scott Hogan would be a huge success at West Ham last week, which can be read here.
