West Ham have been put on alert by the availability of Jack Wilshere, who has announced he will be leaving Arsenal.
The England international sees his contract at the Emirates Stadium expire this week and the 26-year-old is set to become available on a free transfer, presenting a huge bargain in the transfer market.
West Ham are widely linked with interest for Wilshere, although it’s become clear they will face a stern fight in the market to land his services – including from some Premier League rivals.
The SunĀ states Juventus, Wolves and Crystal Palace are currently ranked as the favourites for Wilshere, who made 38 appearances across all competitions last season for the Gunners.
Wilshere’s final decision is likely to orientate around which side can offer him the most regular first-team chances, as he aims to force his way back into the England squad after missing out on a spot for the World Cup in Russia.
